Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-21
GridCraft stores a few small pieces of data in your browser. Most of it sits in localStorage rather than in classic cookies, but the same rules apply: we tell you what's there, and you choose whether the optional ones load.
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to work. They don't need consent under GDPR or ePrivacy because without them the editor literally can't hold on to your session.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| gridcraft_token | localStorage | JWT that keeps you signed in between visits. Without it you'd have to log in every time. | Until you log out |
| gridcraft_consent_v1 | localStorage | Remembers your cookie banner choice so it doesn't pop up on every page. | 12 months |
Analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which features people use. Nothing in this section loads until you click “Accept analytics” in the banner. You can change your mind any time with the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes one browser from another so visit counts aren't double-counted. | 2 years | |
| _ga_4JJR7E4RP0 | Holds the analytics session for this specific GridCraft property. | 2 years |
We send Google Analytics an anonymized version of your IP address. We don't use Google's advertising features, and we don't share analytics data with ad networks.
Third-party redirects
When you start a Stripe checkout or open the billing portal, your browser is redirected to Stripe's domain. Stripe sets its own cookies on that domain, governed by their own policy: stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.
Changing your choice
Use the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of any page to re-open the banner. You can also clear thegridcraft_consent_v1entry in your browser's localStorage; the banner will appear again on your next visit. Browser settings let you block or delete cookies from any site, including this one.
